i spent the night at my boyfriends house last night for 2 nights he snores really loud!! he snores so loud that his roomate can hear him snoring through the vent i keep telling him to stop he says he can’t help it is there anything he can do take to stop snoring at night time and just keep quiet?

No, not really. He cannot control it.
Loud snoreres can breathe easier if they sleep on one side or the other, not on their backs. There are some dental devices that claim to help the airway stay open, but I dont have any personal experience with them.
Snoring is a health issue, caused by an obstruction,or a nerve conduction problem, that will lead to raised blood pressure and other long tern problems. I would recommend a Sleep Clinic where he could be properly evaluated as the the specific cause of his snoring.
In the meantime, some people have gotten some result by sewing a pocket in the back of a pajama top,and putting a tennis ball in it. I would imagine that would take a little getting used to,but thats the economy device !
