Very comfortable. The only negatives are the pillow's weight when filled - it's heavy!, the fact that it seems to "lose" water due to evaporation - not leakage -, and that it is cumbersome and messy to fill. I chose not to roll the dice and buy a stinky pillow...I stumbled upon the "water pillow mediflow therapy pillow" <br /> <br /> <br />I purchased this pillow for my girlfriend who has had ongoing problems with her neck discomfort and trouble falling asleep. To help, she used a microwavable heat pad religiously every night. I felt so sorry for her I browsed for a pillow as a first step to help with her discomfort and pain. The pillow took about 4 days to arrive and she found 16 cups to be the right amount of water for her and she has never used her heat pack since.
